Who we are
We are a young team specialized in online privacy, constantly looking for Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions in an effort to bring you the latest news and in-depth reviews about VPN software. Our goal is to provide as much information as possible to our readers, whether they are premium or free VPN users, or are simply doing their research before making a decision about an important topic like securing their online identity.
Why we started this project about VPNs and privacy
Privacy is a constant issue debated by many people when it comes to their online presence and activity. Personal data is always at risk of being leaked and sold to any marketing company willing to pay the price for finding the best way to advertise their products/services. This means manipulating users without their permission. More often than not, these so-called marketing companies leave room for malware infections on unsuspecting and unprotected computers through their ad banners.
Various kinds of software solutions have emerged to try and block these unwanted and dangerous attempts. In a survey conducted by GlobalWebIndex during the first quarter of 2018 and released in July 2018, it was revealed that 26% of internet users from all over the world resorted to a VPN or proxy server when connecting to the Internet.

VPN tools actually have a bunch of benefits that don’t stop at privacy, and a popular example for this is for unlocking geo-restricted content that is not normally available in your country (like Netflix shows).
What our mission is
We started this website called FindYourVPN.com to identify all advantages and disadvantages of using VPN services, in order to show you what we discovered and hopefully guide you toward the best way of not only downloading and installing a VPN service, but also knowing how and when to use all its features. We are aware that there are many other websites which focus on privacy and VPNs, so we will definitely not pretend that we’re a special snowflake. However, we feel that these sites have incomplete, badly structured, or even downright misleading information about VPN services and service providers.
We understand and respect that your time is valuable. This is why we do our best to eliminate any irrelevant or boring details about VPNs and online privacy, just for the sake of getting some posts published on the internet. Nevertheless, at the risk of telling you something that you already know, we will try to cover all VPN topics. You can find out from how a VPN works and what its key features are, to how to spot scams and how to boost security using other applications.
Our work ethics: 100% honest reviews
Although we know that few things are 100% legitimate, especially on the web, we promise that we will always be honest with you and will never sacrifice quality over quantity. Ultimately, you are the one who decides if our professional work has any value to you. We are glad if even a small percentage of this website’s information can help in any matter.
To clarify this, we are an independent organization that does not work in the benefit of any software developer. Our mission is to explore and test privacy and VPN services from a purely objective point of view, in order to deliver honest reviews in a simplified manner for anyone interested. Therefore, we only act in the service of the reader (you).
On the other hand, for the sake of full disclosure, we must tell you that we may receive commission from some VPN developers. This covers expenses for buying and testing their premium services but only if these developers completely agree with our policy to not interfere or compromise our work in any way. Our recommendations are always based on our own opinion, which will never be influenced by third parties, including VPN service providers or other websites similar to FindYourVPN.
How we work: VPN real-world tests and reviews
The VPN products are thoroughly documented and tested by our own specialists before being reviewed and rated. All our reviews are 100% honest, reflected by on our own experience when using a certain program. However, our work doesn’t end after publishing the reviews on our website.
Free versions can greatly vary from premium versions although it’s essentially the same product. Companies typically use this approach to lure users into paying money for a premium membership. This is why we purchase licenses for full VPN licenses to continue to monitor the behavior of the VPN tools, take note of significant events, and update the reviews to make sure the information remains relevant to our readers (real-world testing). We don’t only want to tell you which VPN tools are the best for you, but also back our arguments with proof. Please don’t hesitate to check out this post for more details on how we review VPN apps.
Made for both casual and advanced VPN users
Just like VPNs, we aim to break any geographical restrictions. This is why we hope that our articles published on FindYourVPN will reach readers from all corners of the internet, regardless of their region. It doesn’t matter where you are from or what you do: if you want to learn general information, keep in touch with the latest reviews, find a specific workaround to your issue, or look up the background of certain VPN providers to figure out if they’re reliable, then we wish to guide you every step of the way.
We do our best to summarize complicated, technical information in a user-friendly format that anyone can understand, ideal for casual users. However, we have also prepared some advanced guides for more skilled users who have passed their entry-level VPN tests with flying colors, ready to go to the next level and dig up the hidden and unexpected perks of VPN services.
Ultimately, we hope to create an engaging environment for you, the reader. To put together a complete and up-to-date database about VPN software, we welcome any feedback, suggestions or personal observations, reviews and tests, whether your tests were done with the same tools we used or something else. Let’s start with the basics of VPN applications and then gradually move up the ladder.
